Since our founding, we have worked closely with community members, local government, businesses, and nonprofit partners to strengthen and uplift our neighborhood. Through these collaborations, we have developed and delivered a wide range of programs and events—many of which have grown into annual traditions serving Southern Brooklyn & Chinatown, Manhattan.
Free Event Space
We offer free event space to nonprofit organizations and individuals to host workshops and seminars that benefit our community members. Our goal is to create an accessible and welcoming environment where residents can gain knowledge, resources, and support.

Staten Island Lunar New Year Celebration
The United Cultural Association hosted another Lunar New Year event in Staten Island.
The program featured traditional dancing, giveaways, festive activities, refreshments, and food.
The celebration reflected the Association’s ongoing commitment to preserving cultural traditions, strengthening community bonds, and spreading joy during the Lunar New Year season, not only in Brooklyn, but in other boroughs and communities as well.

Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration
The United Cultural Association hosted a vibrant Chinese Lunar New Year celebration. The festive event brought together families and community members for an afternoon filled with cultural performances and joyful activities.
The program featured traditional dancing, live performances, interactive games, and an exciting gongfu demonstration. Guests also enjoyed a variety of festive snacks and received special holiday gifts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all who attended.
The celebration reflected the Association’s ongoing commitment to preserving cultural traditions, strengthening community bonds, and spreading joy during the Lunar New Year season.

Calligrapher On Site
We started the Lunar New Year celebration with a special Spring Festival Calligraphy Event. A professional calligrapher created beautiful handwritten Spring Couplets filled with blessings of prosperity, happiness, and good fortune.
We were honored to welcome New York State Assembly Member Lester Chang. His Senior Advisor, Kenneth Chiu, attended and presented a citation in recognition of our community celebration.
We also thank Ms. Ho for leading a horse-themed block printing activity for children, adding creativity and joy to the event.

Chinese Brush Calligraphy Class
Participants learned the basics of Chinese calligraphy and created festive lanterns, gaining hands-on experience with traditions associated with good fortune, renewal, and celebration. The event encouraged creativity, cultural appreciation, and community connection in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

Chinese Spring Couplets: Calligrapher
Celebrate the Lunar New Year with complimentary traditional Chinese couplets (春联), symbolizing good fortune, happiness, and prosperity. Community members are invited to receive beautifully written couplets to decorate their homes and welcome the New Year with luck and positivity.

Fiesta de Los Tres Reyes Magos
A cultural celebration honoring the Three Wise Men—Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar—who, according to tradition, brought gifts to the infant Jesus. Families and community members gather to enjoy music, food, activities, and the sharing of gifts, celebrating generosity, faith, and togetherness.

United Cultural Associate - Anniversary Celebration Gala
The Anniversary Celebration Gala marked the 2nd year of our organization, celebrating growth, achievements, and community impact. Guests joined us for an evening of recognition, reflection, cultural dance, and celebration, honoring the contributions of staff, volunteers, and community members who have supported our mission.

Back to School Event
The Back to School Event was a community outreach initiative aimed at supporting students and families as they prepared for the new school year. During the event, school supplies and food were distributed to help meet essential needs, ensuring children could start the year prepared and confident.

Spring Fair Health & Travel Expo
The Spring Fair Health & Travel Expo was a community-focused event designed to inform and engage residents on health, wellness, and travel-related resources. Community members had the opportunity to connect with local health providers and service organizations, learn about preventive care, and access useful information in an interactive fair-style setting.

Happy Easter Event
The Happy Easter Event was a family-friendly community celebration centered on togetherness and seasonal traditions. Families and children As part of the event, books were distributed to children to encourage learning and literacy, while also strengthening community connections and creating a positive, meaningful holiday experience.

Lunar New Year Celebration
The Lunar New Year Celebration with Cultural Dances was a vibrant community event honoring the traditions of the Lunar New Year. The celebration featured cultural dance performances that showcased heritage, symbolism, and festive spirit. Community members came together to enjoy the performances, learn about cultural traditions, and celebrate themes of renewal, unity, and good fortune in a lively and welcoming environment.

Halloween Health Expo
The Halloween Health Expo combined fun and wellness as community members and families were invited to learn about health resources and healthy habits in a festive Halloween setting. Through interactive activities and informational booths, the event helped make health education more approachable while encouraging families to prioritize their well-being together.

Safe Community, Stronger Together
Safe Community, Stronger Together was a collaborative community event focused on connection, education, and support. We met and partnered with local health and care service organizations to share resources and provide important information to community members. Through these collaborations, the event helped raise awareness of available health and care services, encouraged community engagement, and strengthened the network of support within the community.

The Calligraphy and Lantern Making Event for Chinese New Year was a cultural celebration that introduced community members to traditional holiday customs. Participants learned the basics of Chinese calligraphy and created festive lanterns encouraging creativity, cultural appreciation, and community connection in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
